HealthCare Academy

The Health Care Academy offers training in allied health, care giving, health technician and administrative/technical positions in order to prepare San Francisco’s residents for entry into dynamic careers in the Health Care Industry. The Health Care Academy provides vocational skills training, internships/externships, and offers job placement assistance and career advancement to training participants and other individuals working in the health care field.


Academy Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 18 years of age
Ability to work in the U.S.
Unemployed and/or Low Income

Note:
There are additional prerequisites that vary by training track, please refer to the Health Care Academy Program Guide for additional information.  

 

Additional Program Information:

To learn more about the HealthCare Academy we encourage you to attend an orientation session. Orientations provide information on training tracks, career options, minimum qualifications and the application and enrollment process.

The Health Care Academy is a collaboration with Arriba Juntos, Bay Area Medical Academy, City College of San Francisco, IHSS Consortium, JVS, Self Help for the Elderly, and University of California San Francisco.
