Layoff Assistance


The Office of Economic and Workforce Development can provide services through our Rapid Response Program that will assist you in easing the transition from employed to unemployed.

If you learn that you will be laid off, we can conduct on-site orientation at your place of employment with our partners from the Employment Development Department and other appropriate agencies to inform you about services to assist during a time of transition including Unemployment Insurance, COBRA, and the Access Points

Job Transition Assistance Services 

JTAS is a service provided to recently laid off job seekers to assist them by helping to minimizing the amount of time spent unemployed through targeted workshops, one-on-one job counseling, networking events, and job search assistance.
