Hospitality Initiative Services

OEWD has teamed up with local hospitality industry employers, unions and workforce education, training and service providers to coordinate the Hospitality Initiative.  The Hospitality Initiative offers a broad range of services to job seekers that are responsive to the workforce development needs of this industry.

Job Readiness Services

OEWD’s Job Readiness Services (JRS) programs provide training and support to help jobseekers overcome their individual barriers to employment so they can qualify for and connect to employment and/or vocational skills training opportunities.  The JRS programs serve as an important stepping stone for jobseekers who are not initially able to meet the minimum qualifications for OEWD’s Sector-based vocational skills training programs.

OEWD Sector Strategy

OEWD’s Sector Strategy is designed to improve the responsiveness of the workforce system to meet the demands of sustainable and growing industries by providing employers with skilled workers and expanding employment opportunity for San Francisco residents.
