Education, Training, and Employment Services for Adults with Disabilities
The Disability Employment Initiative (DEI) provides workforce development services to individuals with disabilities. The DEI’s Integrated Resource Team will assist participants who are unemployed, underemployed, and/or receiving Social Security disability benefits.
DEI Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 to 64 Disabled*
*According to the Americans with Disabilities Act, Disabled includes epilepsy, diabetes, asthma, cancer, multiple sclerosis, major depression, and bipolar disorder.
DEI coordinates with state vocational rehabilitation agencies, mental health and developmental disability agencies, Medicaid Infrastructure, grant supported activities, independent living centers, business leadership networks, and other community based organizations.
The DEI Team consists of staff with expertise in disability and workforce development to meet the needs of a job seeker with a disability. Outreach and recruitment will be done in coordination with the One Stop Career Link Centers.
