OEWD seeks nominations for outstanding workforce champions in the following areas:

Workforce Innovation – This award goes to any workforce stakeholder (i.e. business, community based organization, government agency, or educational institution) who has demonstrated leadership in implementing new and creative solutions, strategies, or model that improves the workforce development system. Workforce Innovation could include: service strategy, partnerships/collaboration, use of technology or other.

Employer/Business - Local or regional employers that have demonstrated a commitment to investing in San Francisco’s’ workforce system and job seekers through innovative, effective recruitment and hiring practices and partnerships with local providers.

Adult Job Seeker/Worker - Workforce system adult participants who exemplify outstanding achievement in utilizing the workforce system and/or programs to overcome barriers and achieve career or professional development goals. 

Youth/Young Adult Job Seeker/Worker - youth participants who exemplify outstanding achievement in utilizing the workforce and/or educational system to overcome obstacles and achieve educational, work experience, and/or professional development goals.
